Update - Death Investigation

On March 9, 2010 at approximately 12:53 pm, St. Charles Police personnel responded to a dispatch of possible human remains on the far west side of St. Charles located by a passer-by.

An autopsy was conducted through the Kane County Coroner’s Office. Identification of the deceased has been made:

John Selman

M/W, 63 years old

Last know address, 1015 Route 34, Earlville, IL

            Mr. Selman was believed to be homeless and died due to natural causes.  He grew up in unincorporated St. Charles. He was reported by a friend to have last been in the area he was found in August, 2009.  Family and relatives have been notified.
