Funding Requests

Have an idea by kids for kids? The St. Charles Youth Commission wants to hear it. Funding is awarded to youth-designed and youth-driven projects directed toward the promotion of healthy lifestyles among young people in the community. Any group or organization can apply for funds throughout the year.

The City of St. Charles Youth Commission now accepts funding applications all year long. Funding requests need to be submitted by the 15th of the month in order to be reviewed and considered for approval at the next meeting. Please keep in mind that the Youth Commission does not meet in July or August.

The Youth Commission is optimistic that among all of the slogans, posters, and activities that could be promoted, the ones that emerge from the thinking and experiences of the youth themselves have high potential for success.

Please email your completed application to YC@stcharlesil.gov or drop it off at the St. Charles Police Department, attention: Youth Commission. A member of the Youth Commission will reach out to you once they receive it.

Student Consultants

Are you a high school student interested in offering insight and opinions about how youth programming is funded by the Youth Commission? Are you interested in getting involved in St. Charles city government? The Youth Commission is now seeking applications for a Student Consultant. While the application is currently under construction, you can send along your contact information to YC@stcharlesil.gov and let them know you're interested in this opportunity. Be sure to include your name, address, phone number, school, year in school, and any clubs or groups you're currently participating in.

Youth Commission members are currently reviewing all applications and forms to make them easier to understand and submit. Once completed, these applications will be posted for all to access.
