Fox Haven Square The City has approved development plans for Fox Haven Square, a retail/restaurant development which also includes a pickleball facility. The project is located on the vacant lot south of Jewel, near the corner of E Main Street and Kirk Road.

Whole Foods Market Whole Foods Market is coming to downtown St. Charles. The store is planned to open in Spring 2025. The location is the former Blue Goose store, at 300 S 2nd St. Fort Union, a regional development commercial specializing in grocery anchors, acquired the property in 2023 and successfully entered into a lease agreement with Whole Foods Market.

Downtown Parking Study The purpose of the study is to provide City Council and staff with insight and data on the current downtown parking environment and recommend initiatives that enhance the parking experience for all downtown visitors.
Fox River Dam fact finding A joint task force is charged with gathering information related to the environmental, economic, and recreational impacts of the dam for the City, Park District, residents, and businesses. It was formed in response to the United States Army Corp of Engineers draft report recommending removal of nine dams along the Fox River, including the St. Charles dam.
The St. Charles Initiative The St. Charles Initiative is a partnership between the City of St. Charles and the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley formed to support public projects in St. Charles. This public-private partnership provides funding through donations and endowments, as an alternative to tax-based financing sources.
Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan The Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan is the result of a year and a half of research; directed by feedback from a steering committee, City staff, and members of the general public.
