City of St. Charles Offering Free Bagged Yard Waste Collection the Weeks of March 24, March 31, April 7, and April 14
Yard Waste Stickers Required Beginning April 21

City of St. Charles residents can get a jump on spring yard cleanup. For the weeks of March 24, March 31, April 7, and April 14, the City’s refuse contractor, Lakeshore Recycling Systems, Inc., will pick up yard waste in bags or rented toter bins on normal refuse collection days - no sticker required.

Put twigs, trimmings, leaves, etc. in either a paper yard waste bag or a toter bin rented from Lake Shore Recycling Systems, and place it out on the curb for pick up. Beginning April 21, regular yard waste collection begins and a sticker will be needed. More information is on the City’s website stcharlesil.gov.

Compost Food Scraps with Yard Waste Beginning April 7

St. Charles residents can compost food scraps and other organic materials along with their regular yard waste for collection. Simply add the extra organic material to yard waste bags or carts and they will be picked up on regularly scheduled refuse collection day through November. Details are on the City website.
