Scheduling and Inspections

Building inspections can be scheduled by calling the Building Division at 630-377-4406.  Please have your permit number handy as you will be required to provide this to schedule the inspection. 

Inspection requests typically require 48–72-hour notice, except an emergency sewer or water line repair.  These can be scheduled the same day the permit is issued.

Building inspections are performed Monday through Friday and are given a specific time slot.  If the inspection is inside a building or residence, someone above the age of 18 must be present.  If there is no one present at the time of inspection, or the inspection is not ready, a re-inspection fee of $85 may be charged and will need to be paid before the next inspection can be scheduled.
