New Online Portal for Licensing and Special Events Now Live!

The City of St. Charles is excited to announce the launch of our new online licensing portal for licensing and special events. 

The online portal is live and can be accessed using this link. Please note that you will be required to create an account to apply for most license types.

Business Licenses

The City of St. Charles does not require general business licenses; however, certain licenses may be required for certain businesses.

The types of businesses required to obtain a business license are outlined in Title 5 - Business Licenses and Regulations of the City Municipal Code. 

Liquor Licenses

Liquor licenses are managed by the Mayor's Office. The Mayor also serves as Liquor Control Commissioner.

Chapter 5.08 of the City Municipal Code outlines classifications and requirements for liquor licenses.
