Community Outreach

• Shop with a Cop Christmas gift shopping for children in need, in partnership with the St. Charles Salvation Army & Meijer; funded by MAP Patrol Union
• Coffee with a Cop community conversations
• Participate in the Elder Watch program  
• Oversee the C.A.R.E.S. program
• Crime Prevention Talks hosted by St. Charles businesses, clubs & homeowners associations 
• Police Ride Along Program to experience a day in the life of a St. Charles Police Officer 
• Police Department tours for Boy and Girl Scout troops 
• Car Seat Checks 
• Block Party Visit when call volume allows
• Vacation Check Request home check for residents on vacation  
• Offer “Lunch with the Chief” auction baskets to St. Charles schools 
• Participate in area high school and collegiate career fairs

Public Education & Outreach

• Citizen Police Academy teaches residents about policing in St. Charles 
• Youth Police Academy (ages 13-16) teaches youth about policing and a career in law enforcement 
• Spanish Citizen Police Academy is conducted by Spanish-speaking police officers and offers outreach to the Spanish-speaking community 
• Quarterly Crime Prevention Newsletter offers general safety tips 
• School Resource Officers in all D303 Middle and High Schools
• Too Good For Drugs Anti-Drug program for D303 5th graders
• Law Enforcement Club for D303 high school students
