Annual Water Quality Report Released

St. Charles Water Meets or Exceeds All EPA Standards

Every year, the City of St. Chares tap water is tested in accordance with strict Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) drinking water regulations. Test results show City water meets or exceeds all water quality standards as listed in the Safe Drinking Act.

The City of St. Charles distributes a report each year that summarizes the quality of the City’s drinking water, including details about where St. Charles water comes from, what it contains, and how it compares to the standards set by regulatory agencies. The City provides this report to keep residents informed about the drinking water supply.

The 2024 Water Quality Report includes information about water tested in 2023. The report is available on the City website. Residents can also get copies of the report at the Municipal Building, 2 E. Main St., or the Public Works facility, 1405 S. 7th Ave.

For more information about water testing standards and frequency, contact the Illinois EPA at 217.785.4787 or the St. Charles Public Works Department at 630.377.4405 or pw@stcharlesil.gov.
