Update - 04/20/18

The contractor will be completing pavement rejuvenation of Peck Road (from IL 38 to IL 64), Tyler Road (from IL 64 to Kirk Road) and Walnut Avenue (from S. 2nd Avenue to S. 5th Avenue) the week of April 23rd to April 27th, weather permitting. The roads will remain open during the process, but please drive cautiously and keep an eye out for temporary lane closures.

Update - 01/09/18

Work on the site and the fence was completed in December of 2017.  In 2018, additional foundations for the electrical bus will be installed and equipment will start to be delivered.  The tap of the 35kV transmission line on Kirk Road is scheduled for February.  The goal is to have the substation serving load for the summer of 2018, and the project is currently on track.

Update - 01/09/18

Cable injection has been completed in the Kingswood area.  The Electric Utility appreciates the cooperation from local residents.  While the majority of the work is completed, additional minor remediation work related to our inspections may occur in the future.

Update - 12/08/17

Construction is currently underway with progress moving forward on schedule. The South egg-shaped anaerobic digester has been drained and cleaned. Construction crews have set up scaffolding systems so they can safely work inside for the next couple of months as they rehabilitate the tanks, piping and walls.
